So is that true, guys? Are you rooting for us?

A nice, nuanced piece. Good work by Michael Cunningham.

I also noticed this piece which comments on Winston and Sagarin

I don't like to generally encourage this kind of stuff. But it is the first time I've seen them acknowledge that it has the limitations that Dan has been so open about.

And, oh yeah, how 'bout this pic of Roland?

Yeah ... my initial reaction was that these pieces were nice, but arfter articles which can perhaps be summarized as being about "Moneyball in the NBA" in the NY Times, Seattle PI, SF Chronicle, etc. etc., they are perhaps getting to be a bit routine and repetitive (although positive or at least non-negative media coverage is always nice).

But DeanO has now linked to about 4 or 5 articles, all I think by Michael Cunningham in the Apr 17 South Florida Sun-Sentinel, and all of which seemed to me to do a nice job of accurately summarizing the situation with regard to statistical analysis of the NBA.

That's the biggest set of journalistic coverage of the state of things that I think I've seen. And done, IMO, with a good level of fairness and accuracy.
