Does anyone know where I can find NCAA Basketball Play-By-Play data which includes X,Y coordinates? Even if it is a source that I would have to pay for that is okay. I know this data exists or else CBS couldn't put together their shot charts.

Thanks in advance!

Synergy compiles it and that's probably where CBS is getting it from but I don't know if its offered as part of any of the packages they sell to the general public.

I have actually spoken with Synergy and their NCAA X, Y coordinates are not reliable earlier than this year. Supposedly all new data as of this year will be reliable though and I may end up using them.

One source I spoke with said that CBS uses some company in Florida but they do not know what company it is.

CBS may be using Stats, Inc but I don't want to use them as they are rediculously expensive and you don't own the data you pay for, you just lease it. So if you ever stop using them you have to prove that all data has been removed/deleted/etc.
