To answer both of your questions, yes I am parsing the play-by-play data, and I get all the play-by-play from NCAA.com. |

Do you think you could post a link of one of these play by plays? It was not obvious to me where they are located on the website. |

Can you link the index where they have all teams? I am finding the NCAA's site to be very annoying to navigate. Thanks. |

The first thing I'm wondering is how you can determine who is in there to start the game? Without going to the Box Score, I don't see how you can figure it out.
Care to share? |

Well, without giving away too many of the secrets I used to tame the beast that is an NCAA play-by-play file, I can say you may already have figured it out!
Although there are certainly other ways to do it. After all, the box score doesn't say who started the second half. |

Somebody has to go out of the game when someone else enters...
Thanks for the link, Jon--I had forgotten how to get there. Now it will be easy to get up-to-date statistical plus/minus data for the NCAA.... |

Updated plus-minus is now up. I changed it to the on/off form, and also included total plus-minus (not per game) and the possessions the player was on the court for:

Nice work!
I'm going to publish adjusted Statistical Plus/Minus data here soon--I've got it all compiled, but I'm still fiddling with the standard error computations. |

Cool! My next step is to make the presentation much better. Instead of one big spreadsheet, I'll have it output plus-minus onto various team pages, a la 82games.com. |

This is fantastic work! I've been doing something similar, but have been using PBP from each individual school's websites. Like everyone else in the thread, I didn't even know the NCAA posted this stuff. And, believe me, I looked for it!
I'm not sure if you've noticed, but there are some significant errors in the PBP data. Looking at it briefly, the Kentucky games that were played in Cancun don't have any substitution data. Also some games don't have any PBP posted at all, like the Kentucky-UCONN game. I only notice this stuff because I have run the numbers on Kentucky myself and ran into the same problems.
Your Kentucky numbers are a lot different than mine (not saying yours is wrong, my data could very well be wrong). It's possible that this is the result of these discrepancies.
