Hi, everyone. I'm usually an NFL stat head, and last season I built a live in-game WP model for football games. When the season ended I couldn't resist delving into some other sports, so I built a model for college basketball.

It's an empirical model, based on about 360,000 game observations from the past three seasons. I figured this would be the place to share it. If anyone is interested, the site is:

http://wp.advancednflstats.com/bball

It updates about every 12 seconds for each ongoing game and graphs the WP as the game goes on. For major conference and top 25 games, the game status is updated very frequently, but most minor conference games are only updated every few minutes.

I wrote a guest post at Wages of Wins http://dberri.wordpress.com/2009/03/05/modeling-win-probability-for-a-college-basketball-game-a-guest-post-from-brian-burke/ that explains how the model works a little better.

I know it's tacky to try to hype a site on a message board, but I'm honestly just trying to share this with anyone who's interested. I'm not selling ads or subscriptions or anything. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
