Seriously, It would give me something to do on my long flights. Or is this kind of web-browsing frowned upon? |

You're not the only one asking that question, actually. |

There are ways to go about doing this, but one thing to keep in mind is that the servers we use to host the site are far from free. The more you download, the more bandwidth we use, and the more our server costs go up. You should also realize that tools like the Player Season Finder won't work while you're offline.

Who else is asking about this? Is this being discussed somewhere else?
I have often thought about selling a somewhat stripped-down version of the web site as a download or on CD. Would there be interest in something like that? _________________ Regards,

Make it a subscription with a "lifetime" option and consider it sold. To me, anyway. _________________ ed |

I agree with Ed, although I figure this would be a fairly small niche. |

Well, just me.
I would certainly be interested in something like that. |

I suspect it will be popular with members of this board at least. |

I'd echo that. You can add me to the list of inital purchasers. I'm sure you've presumed this for the other responses, but my interest is in a database for analysis rather than web pages. No offense, but I'm less interested in browsing the actual site when I'm on the plane, though some of those ads do put a smile on my face.
Thanks,

Depending on the price (I'm still a student), I'd probably buy it. |

How exactly would one package it though? Download updates? Would you just be expected to find your own way to dynamically host the web site on your own computer? |

Based on some e-mail I have received and some comments made here, I think there is some confusion about this. I would not be selling a copy of my database. I would be selling a portable "lite" copy of the web site. Honestly, I don't know if this will be happening any time soon, as I think it would end up being a considerable time investment on my end, and I highly doubt the sales would justify the time spent. _________________ Regards,
