hey
i've had this idea and wanted to get some feedback on it, so here goes:
the idea is to have a different graph for each nba team, which lists the teams current predictor on the Y-Axis and the games over the course of the season on the X-Axis.
whenever an injury to one of the teams (key) players, a trade or a coaching change happen, it would be marked in the graph
it would look like this:
(predictor values were made up just to give an example)
do you think such graphs can be useful?
for me it seems the graph might be able to answer questions like:
"how are the bulls doing after Skiles?"
"how are the Suns doing with Shaq/sans Marion?"
"how much did Arenas injury hurt the Wizards?"
and so on |

Yes.
what do you have in mind for predictor?
expected wins or RPI 9for season or for a moving average of games) or a newly designed custom metric? |

Useful. Charts are really easy to understand.
People don't want to or have time to dance with numbers unless they are members of APBR Forum
