I have two game log questions:
1) On December 1, 1988, my data source indicates that Darrell Walker had 10 steals in a game. However, somebody wrote to my site and thought that this was an error since Walker's game does not appear on this list on the APBR's site. I added up Walker's steals from the game logs, and they match his season total. In fact, I added up the steals in the game logs for every player on the Bullets that season, and they match their season totals. Can anybody here verify that Walker had 10 steals in a game?
2) On March 3, 1990, Hakeem Olajuwon fell one assist shy of a quadruple-double. After the game, the Rockets reviewed the game tape and "found" another assist for Olajuwon. A day or so later, the NBA stepped in and said that the Rockets could not change a box score after the fact. My question is this: Did the NBA actually take away the extra assist, or did they just say that Olajuwon's performance was not an "official" quadruple-double. I'm asking because the assists in Olajuwon's game logs add up to his season total, and my game logs credit him with 10 assists on March 3.
I hope some of you might be able to shed some light on these issues. _________________ Regards,
