I know there is a page out there that keeps track of traded draft picks, but for the life of me I can't find it.

Anybody?

Wow! Thank you Kneepad for putting together these data on transaction details. I was thinking of getting a grad student to do something like this summer, but this will save a ton of time. I want to use these data to merge with salary data so that I know precisely when each contract started and ended. That way I can look at how players perform in contract years or in years after signing long-term contracts. Economists have done this, but this will allow me to looks at these issues with a much larger sample of players.

These data also could be used to measure the trade value of different types of players, factoring in their contract details.

I will still need to do some parsing of these data, but this is a great, great help. Thanks!

Oh, one other thing. As a labor economist in a field dominanted by papers where self-reports of wages on income are often what is being analyzed, the small degree of inaccuracy that you may have in your data pales in comparison to the inaccuracy my colleagues usually ignore.
