No secret the game slows down in the playoffs. I'm curious to see how the greats stack up.

Basketball-Reference has several pace-adjusted statistics for every player under the Playoffs Advanced section on the team and player pages. Also, the Play Index tool on the site is a fantastic resource.

There have been numerous playoff series between high-pace teams that, in fact, are quite high-pace. There isn't one pace adjustment for all playoff appearances.

In 1989, Den and Phx met in the first round. In their 3 playoff games, Den had a pace of 107.6 --

Phx then played GS in round 2. That year, Den (107.5), GS (107.3), and Phx (104.5) were the 3 fastest-paced teams in the league. Naturally, these series were also fast paced.

The playoffs are under the Player Season Finder in the Play Index tab.
Just toggle from Regular Season to Playoffs.
Toggle to Advanced, and you're pretty much in the pace-adjusted realm.

Total playoff careers, 100 greatest Win Shares (to 1952):

Sort by WS/48, and the leaders are :
Code:
WS/48  playoffs    WS
.255   Jordan     39.8
.229   LeBron     14.7
.208   Magic      32.6
.206   Nowitzki   18.5
.204   Duncan     28.6
.203   West       26.7
.200   Wilt       31.5
.199   Robinson   17.5

Toggle to Active players, and it's easy to glean the current Finalists:

Code:
WS/48  Finalists   tm    WS
.182   Gasol       LA   11.6
.161   Kobe        LA   26.1
.158   R Allen    Bos   13.0
.154   Garnett    Bos   11.9
.144   Pierce     Bos   12.0
.127   Rondo      Bos    6.2
.125   R Wallace  Bos   15.1
.122   Bynum       LA    2.5
.121   G Davis    Bos    2.8
.115   Perkins    Bos    4.2
.106   Fisher      LA   12.2
.074   Artest      LA    3.8

Almost entirely winners!
.100 is average (playoffs)
These are actually current, as of the morning after a game.

Thanks, I wasn't aware that the finder had included advanced statistics.

I do have a question, what kind of criteria did you use as a cutoff for Minutes or Games Played and why?

I used no criteria at all, just checked the 'combined seasons' button.
That's the default, to sort by descending Win Shares.

With that top 100 WS list, I sorted for WS/48 by clicking that column header.

It looks like there are 20 players not in the top 100 minutes who are in the top 100 WS. And vise versa.
