Sorry, we'll be adding a glossary soon.

Really cool site.....

I post alot over on the Espn message boards and people are liking these box scores big time.

More ammo for the non-stop all day Kobe vs Lebron debate.....etc

The Points Contributed/ Possessions Used is a cool stat. Was wondering why this stat is only located in box scores or at the very bottom of a player's game log section?

Why not add a column in the advanced tab under the "player stats" page so we can easily see who is getting the most out of every possession they use?

Finally....why not take a page out of basketball-reference's setup and allow us the capability of clicking on teams in the Team Stats page......on the team page it would be nice if you had a similar setup to your boxscores, however instead of a one game sample include the season averages for all the players.

Thanks again for the cool site

Great site.

If possible, I would love to see ways to view stats for certain time framse (e.g. last month, last week, etc.). Certain players see their roles increase or they improve over the course of the season and it would be nice to track that progress.

I also agree with what others said that it would be beneficial to have the PC, PU and PC/PU in a category for player stats.

PC and PU will be added to the stats database soon. We're working on team-level game logs right now. I also need to get around to fixing the glossary on the box scores page, but I've been super busy this week. Monthly splits and stuff like that is on the agenda, but I have no idea when we'll get to it.

sptsjunkie -- If you want to see how players progress over time, I would suggest hitting up the player page game log

http://hoopdata.com/player.aspx?name=Tyreke%20Evans

and look at the stats there. It's all sortable.

Ok, I see the page and the progression by year (2009 v 2010). However, what if I wanted to see Donte Greene's usage or rebounding rate in November versus December or Anthony Randolphs shot chart and percentages for a similar time frame.

I don't mean to nitpick, because I am already addicted to this site, but it would be nice to be able to see a young players growth or how a player's stats/role has changed after a trade in the same season.

I see. You're looking for monthly splits. At the moment, that's on the wish list.

I have no idea what's wrong with Safari. It works perfectly on my PC in Safari, and other PC's I've checked. On Macs with Safari, we hear tons of complaints, but our programmer checked one Mac that it worked fine with. Neither of us have a Mac, so I have no idea how to fix it, and seeing how it works perfectly in Safari on my PC, I'm just perplexed as to the problem. We'll try and look into it soon, but I've been really busy with other stuff of late.

Just out of curiosity, how do you get the detailed shooting and other stats so quickly after the game has ended?

Where are you collecting the data from?

2010 refers to the 0910 season. We need to update that on the site to make it more obvious. Sorry, I've been slacking/busy with other things of late.
