I just put up a long post on my site about regression to the mean. It's basically just the gory mathematical details (some of which is a recap of what Ed posted here a few years ago), but I hope to follow it up with some practical applications. I think it's a topic worth trying to get one's head around.

I saw that. It wasn't really intended for a widespread audience, but who am I to argue with Henry. Hopefully not too many people were scared off from any and all statistical analysis after seeing all those equations.
